Subway Sandwich Meal

Last summer I was commissioned by Lay’s® to make a sculpture of a Subway® meal consisting of a 6″ sandwich, a fountain drink and a bag of Lay’s potato chips to celebrate the two companies’ 50 year partnership and to be unveiled at an event in Las Vegas, NV.

The sandwich measures 15″ x 36″ and 20″ tall.
The cup measures 16″ x 16″ and 34″ tall.
The bag of chips measures 6″ x 18″ and 28″ tall.

Naboo Starfighter

I built a Naboo Starfighter back in 2003 before cheese and curved slopes were as prevalent as they are today. I think it hold up well a decade later, but I wanted to try my hand at this again. It’s 1:1 scale (one stud equal to one foot) and although most ships in 1:1 can fit a minifig, this definitely will not. Regardless of what you think of the prequels, it’s hard to argue with the Naboo aesthetic and The Phantom Menace‘s prime example of it.

NetApp Insight 2014

netapp01netappThis past October I travelled to Las Vegas, Nevada to build a 6′ LEGO sculpture of the NetApp logo. The build event took place at the NetApp Insight Conference 2014 at the MGM Grand over the course of two days.

netapp02Audience participation was a key aspect of the build. The NetApp logo is blue, and while the primary color used on the sculpture was blue, different colored bricks were added by the participants based on different levels of sponsorship.

The final product was over 8,500 pieces and was shipped and installed at NetApp’s corporate campus in Sunnyvale, California.

This Iconic Scene from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope was recreated with figures from my birthday set (75052 Mos Eisley Cantina).

The lights used for the window and table were provided by LiteUpBlock. Their new selection of battery and USB powered mini LED lights are amazing, and caused me to finally take a picture of this vignette I’ve had sitting around for five or so years (albeit with the older versions of Han and Greedo).
